Coon Island, 122.81481W & 45.77262N.

Coming Down River:  Turn into the Willamette River at Kelly Point and go upstream about 2 miles to Multnomah Channel.  Coon Island is about 16 miles from the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia - about three turns of the channel once past Multnomah Channel Yacht Club.  Given many slow-no wake zones, it’s the slower route.  If you’re in a hurry, take the main channel of the Columbia almost to St. Helens and approach Coon Island from upstream.  Although faster than the Multnomah Channel route, it’s about five miles longer.

Coming Up River:  Turn into Multnomah Channel just past St. Helens.  Coon Island is roughly five miles up the Channel.  Watch for wing dams and pilings at the turn.
